I think we all know what is and what has happened in Cairo. Protesters took to the streets and just today Hosni Mubarak stepped down. What I want to know is, why is Mubarak so bad. I've gotten the argument that he's a dictator, but that's how they've been ruled since I believe the fifties. Now, Mubarak might be worse than all of the others, but I think that it's the Muslim Brotherhood. Their goal since 1994 has been to establish a caliphate in that region of the world. Mubarak may have been awful, but the growing evidence is that the Muslim Brotherhood is behind most of this. Also, note that most of the protesters are college students. Hmm. Why? Mainly for the same reason young Americans vote for the liberal Democrats. They don't have experience, and they don't know that when something sounds too good to be true, it is. Therefore, especially with Obamacare, they go, hey, that's a great idea, insurance for everyone? And I don't have to pay for it? SWEET! AWESOME! Heck yeah, lets do this! or in this instance hey, democracy! YAY! except they don't understand the turmoil that goes along with this. You can't go from a total dictatorship that has been in place for almost sixty years to total democracy or a republic overnight, and that's what these people think. They are young and they are inexperienced. It is our job as the modern conservative to inform people like this. Persuade them to conservative viewpoints. Make good cases for yourself. Act with more morality and respect and sense of responsibility than others. Make a role model of yourself. If you are called something unpleasant, don't sink to your attackers level and insult them back. Politely say, "I'm sorry you think that" and explain to them respectfully why they are wrong. When you get down with the dogs you get up with fleas. We want to avoid all of that. Do not respond with anger or irritation. That is the only way to convince people that they are wrong. Dress for the job you want, not the job you have. Same applies here. If you want them to listen to you, you have to act like a role model to them. You may not actually be perfect (since nobody is), but that doesn't matter. Make yourself someone that others respect. Then and only then will they listen to you.

Since I just recently added the forum Kickball, or soccer, I would like to post Michael Berry's thoughts on 'kickball'. I'm paraphrasing, but he says something along the lines of, "we don't need papers. If you want to know if somebody is from this country or not, just ask them if they like kickball. If they say yes, they're here illegally." Just thought I'd share.

No. No that doesn't make you Canadian. He meant that since you only need your legs for kickball and it requires very little skill, it is the perfect sport for the unskilled and unproductive illegal immigrants who come here.[code]

Wow. I thought you liked hockey. Man. I was wrong. And Russians are the drunk ones, not Americans. With exceptions of course.
